Emergency Evacuation

In case of an emergency evacuation the three items I would take with me are:

My Joyce Meyer bible, which will give me strength to make it through another day.
My personal documentation, which I will need to start my new life.
My youngest daughter's baby books which letters and pictures of most of my loved ones.
I would feel devastated if I was told I could only take one of the items with me.  I would keep my document file stuffing it with pages from my  bible and pictures of my loved one.
The insight I have remains the same.  Living in America can be hard but it allows me to embrace my culture.

  1. Thanks Lilliane for making me think of personal documentation. How would I ever survive without that paperwork, especially in this age of identity theft. Even current technology systems won't be able to get me out of a jam. And no one should leave home without our source of faith that sustains us daily.

  2. Stuffing you file with pages from you bible along with photographs is very inventive. It makes me wonder what immigrants coming into this country must feel like, having to perhaps hide their real cultural identity so as to become more like us. I had not considered taking any informational files with me, but reading your post and others as well reminded me of the importance of identification and that without it we would not get very far.

  3. I like the idea of the personal documentation. I am not as creative as that and surely not a writer. I also like the idea of a bible. Its hard to keep faith in times of need. Great Post!!
